What inspired you to launch your own website?
We were approached by several beauty professionals who wanted to find a way to connect with people who interested in trying new beauty products free. With that FreeMakeovers.net was born.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
The first website was launched in the fall of 2007. Having created it myself, it was not the sharpest thing on the web...I think I'm getting better though. We love the site and the response has been tremendous.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We wanted the site name to be something that accurately described the service we provided. Fortunately, I was able to find a URL that did that, FreeMakeovers.net. It’s getting harder these days to find that.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We pride ourselves in offering the top of the line products for our clients to try. Lets face it, if your not going to like it, don't waste your money on it. I sure don't want to spend my money on something I'm not going like.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Eventually, we'd like to be able to offer our products to people all over the world. The global economy is moving right into our back yard, and well, we'd love to be a really great host.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Well, the jury is still out. If I look at where we've come from and where we stand today, I'm totally excited. The growth and success has been really terrific. Can't wait the see where we are 12 months from now.
So, what does the future hold for FreeMakeovers.net?
Well, that's a great question. We want to continue to enjoy the growth in popularity and web chat that has occurred over the last several months. People are really excited about us and we want to keep that alive. If our future ends up as bright as our past, well what can I say; maybe I'll treat myself to a makeover -
