The Hairmonster website is an independent online store for leading hair care and styling products featuring the best in Shampoo�s, Conditioners and styling products form the likes of Paul Mitchell, Tigi, Ketastase, Goldwell & Wahl.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The website was launched to bring the best in salon and professional hair products to a wider audience without a trip to a hair salon.
Our aim is to let our customers have a convienient access to the best products in the market convieniently deliver to their home.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
The original Hairmonster site changed URL and had been around for some time.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
A play on words Hair and Monster deals!
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Ous site is very simple to navigate to the products our customers seek within 2 or 3 clicks. We believe our site is one of the easiest to use.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To bring great hair products to everyone.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
So far so good, orders are increasing and customers are happy.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Its as much about time as it financial budgets, with an unlimited budget I would build a time machine so i could do more!
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes we have a great stock control and back office team that has automated or ordering and secure payment systems for our online orders.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Thankfully none thus far other than optimising the new url.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting a new url noticed.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Strategic optimisation within relevent directories and sites.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It has got harder to launch a new site.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site will runn and run as its an intergal part of our business.
