Just a normal girl's view of fashion & style while on a budget. Hopefully helping others to find a way to be fashionable and thrifty.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I want to bring attention to the budget choices available while keeping up with trends as well as real style.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Blogger - it's free & easy. Also, Wordpress is impressive but I would have to move my blog to a Unix server in order to use them - pain in the butt.
What do you blog the most about?
latest trends in fashion & my opinions on them, new pieces that are affordable from my own store, shopping & new outfits I've put together.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
i haven't read any but i assume i would pissed off at any hate sites

write often, keep it short, focus on quality, try to keep up to date with other blogs in your arena, include photos
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
my "real" job, family issues (so far anyway), gossiping about people i know
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
i started blogging to maybe make money in the (far) future but now that i've opened my little shop the focus has changed to get people to shop in it. i still feel i'm at the very beginning of that & there hasn't been a monetary pay off yet.
How long have you been blogging?
not sure - almost a year? i can't even remember - i think my first blog was about my jewelry making hobby, then i got over that & set up a site w/ 8 blogs - i couldn't keep up. i went down to, i think, one diary-like blog then back up to 4 blogs. now i'm focusing on the fashion blog to help get people to my store.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
less than one. but i spend time over the weekend putting together info so that i can just plug it in during the week and launch
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
way too many - i feel totally overwhelmed. i have some at work & some at work so i feel less overwhelmed.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
no, i'm so busy with too many social network sites, besides submitting to directories right now. maybe i'll get there...
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
i love it but haven't had time to play on it lately. i also have been overlooking adding my posts there. maybe the next really good one...
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
i'm working very hard on optimization right now. also commenting on other blogs & being part of online network sites. nothing has worked yet, but this blog is so new. i'm sure it will come...
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
perez hilton because everyone would read it LOL. also, i love the superficial.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
none that i know of so far. maybe, don't overwhelm yourself. i'm always guilty of that.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
fugal-fashionista - simple quick read, love the outfits, fdiary - great every woman on a budget that dresses beautifully, thesupericial - biting commentary on celebrities, the sartorialist - simple & gets the point across - real people fashion, stylebubble - i love her interesting views on fashion, even though she's very wordy.
