We are here trying to make it great convenience and satisfaction for you on your effort to "Dress and Be yourself". What inspired you to launch your own website?
Not only to run business but to offer customers another view of online fashion shop. We not only run a shop but create a ground for people to share their experience on fashion. We organize funny competitions where everyone will win small gifts. People can also entertain by playing funny games on our websites.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is my first website, which was launch at the beginning of September 2007.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Just take a name of a flower I like, sakura flower, which is popular in Japan as well.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
1.We guarantee the combination of all points above. 2.We create an interactive website where everyone can “shout” out his or her opinions or feelings. 3.We create a friendly theme which is changed periodically to make you feel it’s your home page. 4.We provide a platform where people can share their experience on beauty and fashion with others. 5.We organize funny competition where everyone will win something. 6.More importantly, we listen to you; we cater for your personal taste.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Customer not only come to it to buy clothes but to share opinion, experience and entertain as well.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It's a part-time besides my college study.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would upgrade it to a more professional but friendly website, with multiple ways of doing transactions for the best convenience and satisfaction of customers. After that, I will run advertisement to introduce my website to many people.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
We always change the way we do things and adapt us to any environmental influences such as increasing demands. If so, we will need to find business partners or recruit persons to work with us.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The high cost of shipment from foreign countries. Getting attention of more people is also not easy.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Gain attention of many people.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
We guarantee for all we say about us and what we offer. Therefore, we gain customers' trust and gain credibility.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It gives me more fun but stress at the same time. And we need to learn new skills such as technical, design, and marketing skills at the same time.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Since September 2007. I will invest time and money on it at least until I graduate from university.
