Just before Christmas, my aunts went to Hong Kong to shop for their numerous godchildren who will obviously run over their house to ask for gift when Christmas day comes. I was asked to come but declined the offer since I have things to do.
Now I regret my decision to come, seeing how lovely their pictures are and hearing their great stories of their shopping experience. Well, I know how it feels to shop at Hong Kong, I have been there a couple of times before. But I have never tried going to HK during Christmas, much more the shopping experience for the season.
I was told the already bargain-priced goods were down to almost 50-75%. The lines of stores doubled in numbers and every store doubled their employees. And of course, the downside of having a good price and tons of goods to sell is that huge number of people will flock your way.
I mean, a lot of people visiting and buying in your store is always good, but for buyers who need to hop from one store to another, will definitely feel exhausted with all the pushing and bumping. Good thing being irritated during Christmas time is 'banned'. You need to smile even at your most exhausted moment. That's the gift you can offer people I guess, good treatment.
Also, for those who wants to visit Hong Kong during this season, be sure you booked a round trip ticket, or else, you might just find yourself stranded and not be able to come home until New Year because airline seats for December are always fully occupied weeks prior to the flight itself.
