When did you start your website and why?

2001, to educate the public about natural perfumery and also make my perfumes accessible so they can be ordered online.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

The services and products I offer are unique and very personalized. I give each customer fragrance consultation to help them find the perfumes that will match their personality and fragrance needs. My business is a one-woman-show, with advertising mostly through word of mouth and online. My line is also starting to be distributed in select stores in North America and Europe.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

- Still waiting for the webmaster to complete the new website. - Credit card processing options not via PayPal.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Customer service, making web updates to text and content, everything really is going quite smoothly.

What was your biggest mistake?

I can't think of any.

Who maintains your website and why?

I do. My website has a back end which I have access to and I add the code and change content whenever it's needed. It's faster than waiting for a busy webmaster to do this.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

Most of my clients find me via my website, and most of my sales are made online.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

It's only going to get better in my opinion. The internet has become an inseparable part of a big part of the world and is only going to grow.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

It's very important and I do my best to keep up.

Yes, they definitely helped my website.
