When did you start your website and why?

My website was started in June 2007 after being appointed Singapore agent for sales of bezoar stones, mustika and geliga pearls from Indonesia.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

My website is to create awareness of the availability of such magickal bezoar geliga pearls here in Singapore. We may have heard stories from our parents, relatives and friends during our childhood days relating to pearls from coconut, centipede, snakes etc. All interested parties need to do is contact me for viewing.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

To convince others that these beneficial natural objects are real and available and yet don't sound like it's taken out from " Harry Potter "

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Doing the updates for the website.

What was your biggest mistake?

There's conceivable mistake that I can think of.

Who maintains your website and why?

I maintain it myself. Prefer doing things on my own. I can change the design and update anytime I want to.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

Sales have picked up as more people are aware.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Ecommerce is here to stay and will be the future mode of business. Internet will become an increasing and crucial part of our lifes.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO assists the owner to optimise his website.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

Search engines have brought the world before us through the computer screen at the click of a mouse. My webiste would have remained anonymous if not for search engines.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Submission to Google, Yahoo and other search engines.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

I am still monitoring the results.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

I will leave it to the IT experts, so far none have failed.
