Yours Truly Couture an online boutique selling trendy, affordable, chic and stylish women fashion dresses, tops, handbags, accessories, jewelry,clothing, designer and budget handbags.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I always had a niche for fashion and having my own website I am able to enjoy both worlds. I shop and make money.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my website March of 2009. This is my first website: http://www.yourstrulycouture.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Your Life, Your Style, Your Beauty… Yours Truly. It's about your own style.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I offer budget and designer handbags at affordable prices.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is to have a website that I can make a decent income so that I can focus on my business and not work a full-time job also.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
All the money I have invested into my website came from my saving. I am very passionate about my business. I know that it is going to take time before I see a profit, but I am willing to wait for that time.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would advertise and marketing. Adverting and marketing has been my biggest challenge due to lack of money to get my business out there.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, I can stick with the demand as long as I always have the item in stock. I would never sell an item that is not in stock.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
I had to deal with different web designers and I have lost money behind that. But I prayed about it and got the best web designer for my site.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Not having the money to do all that I want to do. Marketing and Adverting.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I have a Twitter account and have gotten customers from there.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Having a website is a lot of work and research. Most of my time is spent online.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I've had my site up and running since March, I will continue running it for a long time.. I will just keep stock at a minimum.
