What inspired you to launch your own website?
The demand.
Our customers wanted an easy quick way to make their purchases with us so we expanded to retail and just recently launched our website to the world.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our website was launched in June 2005.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Feeling Heavenly is what every woman wants to feel...Wether it be her hair, her make-up, her shoes...This is when I decided on choosing Heavenly Wigs. Our slogan is Feel Beautiful, Feel Gorgeous, Feel Heavenly!
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Number one would be our service. We offer our services where we can come to you. Many people are unable to leave their home easily and at anytime. With us, we will come to you, bring our products and you can view our collection from the comfort of your own home. Secondly, our prices. Anywhere you go, you will find synthetic wigs starting at $65 and I have seen them as high as $300...For synthetic! We sell our Synthetic wigs at $49.99 everyday. Our wigs are the highest of quality out there and made to feel and look like your own natural hair. Our success and able to do so with these prices is because we are wholesalers. Because we sell in bulk, we are able to supply our customers with quality and lowest prices guaranteed items.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Our eventual goal would be to open up locations throughout Europe. We have conquered The United States and Canada and are currently working on entering Europe with our lines.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely! When we launched our website back in '05, our sales sky rocketed within only the first week. Not what we expected at all, but we managed and keep on doing so till today.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Of course there is always something unexpected that can arise. Returns, customers who try on their products and then decide they do not like the color or style. We are one of the very few companies who will allow returns. Of course, it is a complete loss for us. We are unable to re-sell a product that has been worn or even just tried on. It becomes quite costly, however it is part of our service and we will continue seeing our customers satisfied.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Crossing over from Canada to the United States. The U.S is so saturated with companies selling wigs and hair pieces. Though it was difficult, we know that our products are made of the best quality and we know our customers keep comming back for more because of this. It has been 4 years since we entered the U.S and we continue to expand...That tells you something about us.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth. When your customers are happy, they will express this to all their friends and family. It is the most simple and least costly, yet the most successful for us.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It is wonderful actually. Everything I expected it to be. Of course it is very time consuming, but I love it.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Nearly 3 years now and I will continue for a very long time. I love the interaction with people across the world.
