What inspired you to launch your own website?
Since my salon has been in operating in Shadyside for nearly 20 years, I figured the best salon in Pittsburgh must have a website that shows all of our services, how we give back to the community, and all of the latest trends in salon and spa.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
6 years ago, we launched capristosalon.com which displayed lal of our services.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We used our business name, Capristo Salon, founded by my father Bruce Capristo.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
It's different because we provide more services than your average salon, we showcase all of our specials, and even have free martini wednesdays.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is to have people reading our blog on a daily basis, learning how to keep their hair safe and looking fabulous.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The mor etime I put into my website, the more money we will in turn make.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would make it a social network.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I would hir emore employees.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting more traffic.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Youtube videos and blog.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
